Taking a break from those important caring responsibilities can help loved ones relax and reenergise. It also gives those who you are caring for the opportunity to engage in new activities and meet new people.
Rosedale Village now has dedicated apartments that have been set up for those seeking respite care. Under respite care temporary residents receive full care, support and have access to all services, activities and entertainment just like our full-time residents.
Perhaps you or a loved one needs support while recovering from a stay in hospital or while family are away? Let Rosedale Village assist you during these times.
The length of stay can be one day to a month or longer in our serviced apartments. There may also be subsidies available to take advantage of. Please talk to our Facility Manager who will be able to advise.

We would like you to meet us before we meet you. Here are some of our highly trained and qualified staff members to introduce themselves.
Michael Martin
Facility Manager
Michael recently re-joined Rosedale as our Village Manager.
With qualifications in Finance and General Management his career initially tracked along management roles for financial institutions and smaller mid-sized business. In 2009 however, he jumped at the opportunity to leave the Corporate world to work for the first time in the Residential Aged Care sector. Michael says "I do not know of any other industry where one can experience - every day - a sense of purpose and satisfaction in the care & support for those who need it and deserve it."
When he is not at work Michael will probably be involved in sport somewhere within North Harbour region. He has been active in many local clubs be it rugby, cricket, golf, or most recently soccer. He invites anyone from our local community to contact him to discuss how Rosedale Village can assist in providing care and support to their family members.
